How to Bake the Perfect Pie

There are a few types of desserts I like to think I've mastered over the years. The layer cake, for example, and my most favorite dessert of all - pie. Though it did take some practice. I still remember my first homemade pie I tried to make for Thanksgiving. The crust fell apart, and I had to doctor it up with store-bought crust; and the filling turned into a very runny, liquid mess. But, like I said, it's a dessert I've definitely learned to make well over the years, and here are a few tips and tools that make for a yummy (and very pretty) pie.

Snapshots from the Week

Here I am, posting an ice pic from last weekend, and we're supposed to be in the 60s today...go figure, Oklahoma. While I am glad it's warmed up, I'm still wishing for some pretty snow this season. In the mean time, I'll enjoy the break from the cold, especially on the weekend!

My Favorite Planners for 2017

I love planners, journals, and notebooks of all sorts; and I especially love some of the super cute designs available. If only I needed several planners per year. For 2017 I settled on a plaid one from Target, specifically because it was the only one there with lots of lines per day. I like to plan out blog posts in my planner, and one that has plenty of room for daily notes is perfect for that.
