25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. NY Fashion Week 2012: Tommy Hilfiger's British Invasion

posted by Christina Williams, February 16, 2012

Upon browsing Tommy Hilfiger's Fall 2012 collection that hit the runway during Fashion Week in New York this week, I couldn't help but notice the obvious theme of riding boots, peacoats, plaid and hats that are reminiscent of English riding helmuts or perhaps bobby hats. This is a bit adventurous for the traditional all-American designer. I'm happy to say it is in no way a cheesy, literal representation of the Brits, but rather a fox-hunt and tea-and-shortbread kind of look. Obviously the helmuts are just for show.

What do you think of these looks? Personally, I'm suddenly craving tea and excessive amounts of brown leather (not that I would eat the leather...you know what I mean). In fact, I think I may speak exclusively in my worst English accent for the rest of the day. Cheers!
