KCL 2018 Beauty Awards

Welcome to the latest beauty edit and the very first beauty awards here on the blog! I’ve tried so many wonderful beauty products this year and wanted to let you guys know which were my top must-have products of the year. I’ve picked from new and small businesses only, as I love to work with indie brands. And like most of the beauty brands I review; most of these are organic, natural, and cruelty-free.

These are the items that long after the required testing and promotion period, I find myself still using and preferring above any others. The're the products which despite a never ending stream of free PR samples, I would still spend my own money (and in some cases have) in order to get more of. And whether affordable or more costly, these are the beauty products that I truly think are worth the price. So if you’re thinking about adding more beauty or selfcare products into your 2019 routine, I highly recommend each of these brands.

Valentine's Gift Guide for Teen Girls: Hip Ways to Show You Care

If you want to spoil your teenage daughter for Valentine's Day, you may be wondering what to buy. It's easy, anything pretty, cool, or trendy...or all of the above. Think trendy mall stores, like EXPRESS and Charlotte Russe. The "Love" bracelets and studded wrap bracelet above are all just $5 at Charlotte Russe. Hell, even I love to get my costume jewelry there. They have so many beautiful pieces for $10 and $5. Wrap bracelets and pyramid-stud stretch bracelets are incredibly trendy for 2013, so just pick up a couple for your teen daughter to stack, and she may even crack a smile.

I featured a trio of girly iphone cases on the top left. Trust me, a blinged-out phone cover would be a welcome gift for any young gal considering they spend more than have their time on the damn phone. Then again don't we all.

Heart-themed jewelry and jewelry displaying the word love is another big style trend, and what better time to give it as a gift than Valentine's Day? I'd shop anything by Betsey Johnson. She is the queen of hearts and young, funky design. In addition to Betsey Johnson Jewelry, you can find the perfect trendy accessory for your teen like this Betsey Johnson 2 Piece Cosmetic Set-Bronze Leopard.
Another huge style trend for 2013 is the box clutch that started last fall. The cool version of the hard-case clutch is the knuckle-clasp clutch. Surprise your teenage daughter with one of these for Valentine's Day and she'll think you've been possessed or body snatched by aliens. Get her one with crystal-studded skulls on the handle and she may just pass out from shock. Click here to shop knuckle-clasp clutches.

No matter what you get your teenage daughter for Valentine's Day, she's still bound to act too cool for school, but if you pick from my list, at least she'll be screeching, bouncing, giggling, and squealing on the inside.:)
