How to Make Heart-Shaped Strawberry Slices

You can make a beautiful Valentine's Day Dessert with little baking skills if you use these heart-shaped strawberry slices. Use them to garnish tartelettes, strawberry shortcakes, cupcakes & more. It's a quick and easy way to garnish a semi-homemade Valentine's Day dessert that will taste great and look fabulous.















Step 1: Rinse and pat dry a medium ripe strawberry. Take a curved pairing knife (or regular pairing knife if you don't have a curved one) and cut at an angle towards the top middle of the strawberry.

Step 2: Make the same cut on the other side so that the cuts meet in the middle.

Step 3: Use your pairing knife to round out the top edges.

Step 4: Slice the strawberry from top to bottom, making 2-3 slices per strawberry (4 slices on a medium to large one).
