The Perfect Housewarming Gift & How to #SmudgethatSh*t

My family and I have recently moved into a new home, and first on my to-do list was a cleansing ritual. Thus this beautiful floral smudge stick from Mystical Blossoms was the perfect housewarming gift. Now, I know, despite how trendy sage has become on Insta, you may be hesitant, or perhaps you just have no idea how one goes about performing a cleansing. To sum it up, it's about being intentional about the kind of energy you want in your home. It's simple...do you want good vibes? Do you want to let go of the bad vibes? The point is that by adding something tangible to a prayer or meditation, you turn that prayer or meditation into a ceremonial act, and that will make you more confident and intentional about your thou…

Easy Heart-Shaped Brownies

Whether you need a last-minute Valentine's Day party treat, or a last-minute handmade holiday gift, by using boxed brownie mix and heart-shaped paper bake ware, you can easily create these Valentine's Day brownies in a snap. I got mine at Walmart for a few dollars. Four heart pans come in a pack.

Fill the paper pans a little more than halfway full and bake brownies according to the instructions on the box. To give as a sweet brownie gift, place two in a medium cello bag (after the brownies have cooled), toss in some Valentine's Day candy, and tie with red ribbon. The best part is the paper pans are microwaveable. Nothing's better than a warm gooey brownie. It's such a great and easy gift to give to teachers or at work.
