25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. Red Carpet Fashion: Hollywood Glamour at the 2013 Oscars

There wasn't much of a common trend at the 2013 Oscars. The celebs wore dresses in all different kinds of colors and styles. If anything, the one commonality between the stars on the red carpet was traditional Hollywood glamor. Winner for best leading actress Jennifer Lawrence showed up in Dior Haute Couture, while Jessica Chastain (my personal favorite on the red carpet) wore an elegant strapless Armani Prive. Naomi Watts, also in Armani Prive, was either a hit or miss for most critics. Jessica Chastain, along with Reese Witherspoon added to the glamor with their side-swept Hollywood waves. The majority of the jewelry was understated in style though mostly consisted of brilliantly shining diamonds. Other stars that shined on the red carpet (not pictured below) include Jennifer Hudson, Nichole Kidman, Selma Hayek, and Stacey Keibler and more. You can view all of the Oscars red carpet arrivals here on the Oscars home page.

  1. I saw a remark in a paper yesterday from someone who thought it would be wonderful if just once on the red carpet, an actor, when asked who they're wearing, would tell the reporter to mind their own business.

    Halle looks slightly ridiculous!

    1. Ha! I heard today that reporters backstage asked Jennifer Lawrence what she was thinking when she fell, and she said something to the effect of, you're seriously asking me what I was thinking just then? It starts with an f!
