25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. Little Pink Dresses & What to Wear Them With

This bold shade of pink is super hot for 2013, even into the fall and winter season. If you really want to make a statement at a formal event, go for one of these beauties. For something more suited to the holidays, go for a dark pink dress with a jacquard print, like this Jill Stuart Women's Jacquard short sleeve dress in pink. I get a lot of reader emails requesting pink chiffon cocktail dresses. Here is a great strapless chiffon cocktail dress in dark pink, also by Jill Stuart.

Pair them with....
For this bold shade of pink, stick with neutral accessories. You can go one of two ways to accessorize the look - black or silver. If you go with black, you can add in a pop of color, like the color block clutch featured above. Try to mix in both black and silver. You don't want to pair one of these pink dresses with black shoes, a black bag, and black jewelry all at once. For a more formal event, I'd pair a pink dress with silver accessories, like a silver minaudiere or box clutch. To break up the silver accessories, add in color with light turquoise jewelry.
