My Summer Style Wish List

Though it's already felt like summer for weeks, the official first day of summer is later this week, and it has me craving my favorite summer styles. I have my eye on some essentials, like a beach tote and some new sunglasses of course. There are few hot new trends I love this summer, for example fringed swimsuits and Soludos espadrille flats.

1. Women's Straw Fedora  - A straw fedora is the perfect hat for summer. It looks great with so many summer looks; like a sundress, shorts, or at the beach. Get one with a a colored band to help tie it into your outfit.

2. H & M fringed swim suit top - Fringe is one of the top swimsuit trends for summer 2013, and it's my favorite out of those trends. It has such a boho look to it, which I love wearing for summer.

3. Mar y sol Caracas Double Stripe Tote - I really can't get enough large summer totes. They're not just for the beach or the pool. I love using them whenever I go to a summer party. It's the perfect size to hold all of my regular items plus a dessert and a bottle of wine for the hostess.

4. Xhilaration Juniors Printed Dress Assorted Colors - I love a great maxi dress, but this year there are so many cute fit and flare summer dresses. Target has a huge selection for $20-$30.

5. Michael michael kors straw Berkley clutch - I always get a new clutch for summer. Every time I research summer accessories for my style blog, I drool over this Michael Kors straw clutch. Though I'm sure I'll go for something much more affordable, like the GAP straw fold-over clutch.

6. Steve madden Women's T-Strap Sandals - My go-to summer sandal is a T-Strap. It's like a grown-up version of the flip-flop. I don't bargain hunt when it comes to my everyday summer sandals. I want something that is going to last at least a few years. I love a neutral tan and metallic pair like the Steve Madden Bonkerz sandal. They tend to go with everything.

7. Soludos slip-on shoes - This summer soludos have been haled as the new flip flop. They're quick, easy, and comfy. I've always been a big fan of espadrille flats, so I'm all for Soludos. They're perfect with jean shorts and a tank.

8. Essie nail polish - I'd love to try a summer shade of nail polish. I tend towards vampy colors like dark red and purple, but this season I want to try The Girls Are Out shade from the Essie 2013 Summer collection.

9. Great Barrier Reef - JustFab - A summer statement necklace is perfect to layer over a plain white top or dress. I absolutely love the Great Barrier Reef necklace by JustFab. Join now to get one designer handbag + one pair of shoes for $39.99 total with free shipping.

10. Merona Women's Shorts - Shorts are necessity during summer. Though as I researched women's shorts for this season, I noticed there were a lot of bermuda shorts and bootie shorts but not much in between.Luckily the women's shorts at Target are just right (and a great price).

    1. I'm quite sure they use a lot of other materials to hold it all together, but the term for that particular trend is "straw fedora".
