Summer is officially here! I have some friends in the Northeast who are unfortunately having rainy, cloudy weather this week, but here on the east coast, the sun is shining. How is it in your parts? The first official day of summer yesterday has my mind turning with so many summer post ideas. If you have any particular suggestions on summer content you'd like to see regarding style/beauty, travel, decor, or entertaining; please let me know. And now this week's It List.

1. Beat the Summer Frizz - I've had several female readers ask for a post on how to beat frizz. Personally I've been battling with it, especially since the warmer weather hit. Humidity magically makes frizzy hair grow by the minute. Yesterday I shared My Secrets to Frizz-Free Wavy Summer Hair. I also plan to share tips on frizz-free hair care for those of you with straight hair, so sit tight.

2. Get the Best Shades for Your Face - I am so addicted to sunglasses. Though I have a habit of loosing or scratching them, so I tend to buy a ton of cheap $5 pairs from Charlotte Russe. 4. Drop Lbs. Fast with the Paleo Diet - I never promote diets on my blog, but this is more of a healthy lifestyle change. After injuring my back last year, I was looking for a diet to help ease the pain and keep me from gaining weight while I couldn't work out. I cut out all sweets, breads/gluten, caffeine, and processed food (minus the occasional cheat day), and I inadvertently went Paleo. It's basically lean protein, fruits, nuts/seeds, and a ton of veggies. If you are stuck at a plateau with your summer weight loss goals, give this a try for a week or two and see how great it can make you feel, with the added benefit of losing those stubborn  trouble areas.

5. Update Your Sun Protection -Picking the right sunscreen is so important to protect against skin cancer. If you have an old bottle from last year, it's time for an update! I love to use Banana Boat Sport Sunscreen.

    1. We still get a ton of rainy days in Maryland, but so far we've had a hot and sunny week. I'm actually enjoying it since I can get out and walk now.

    1. It's worth a try. It's meant to fight inflammation, thyroid issues, autoimmune diseases,etc. And obviously w/cutting out processed foods, it's generally a lot healthier.
