KCL Friday Finds

Welcome to KCL Friday Finds! Today's shopping guide is full of affordable beauty-themed stocking stuffers. Don't get me wrong, I love to get candy and chocolates in my stocking, but I also love other gifts, like a cute new pair of socks and especially little beauty products.

A beauty stocking stuffer doesn't have to cost a lot. Between individual sheets masks and bath bombs  to lip balm and nail polish, you can find so many great options under $10. Several options below are even under $5.

The most universal of stocking stuffers, aside from candy, is lip balm. When given as a gift, go with something more luxurious than a Cherry Chapstick from the grocery store. My favorite lip balms at Bua Organics are all-natural and organic and come in options like Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Jojoba Oil. For a moisturizing lip balm with the addition of a fun scent, try Einstein Bath Co., for flavors like Sangria, Marshmallow, and Pink Frosting.

A wonderful way to give a luxury beauty…

Easy Last-Minute Red, White, & Blue Cupcakes

If you need an easy, last-minute Fourth of July dessert; all you need is boxed cake mix and some fresh berries to create a red, white, and blue treat. If you want to start with homemade white cupcakes, use this recipe here. Then simply top with vanilla icing a fresh berries.

People often ask me how I get the cupcake icing on so smoothly. I don't use any fancy pastry bags or decorating tips. I simply put the icing into a plastic sandwitch bag and cut a 1/2 inch opening in one of the corners. It's easy and takes no time at all to swirl on the frosting.

Add an extra festive touch by topping each cupcake with mini flags from the craft or dollar store.
