Christmas Tour: Decoratively Speaking Events

I've got a treat for you guys today! It's a Christmas tour that is definitely a feast for the eyes. When I started my holiday page on Instagram this season, I happened upon quite a few interior design pages I wasn't yet following with my KCL Instagram. One of which caught my eye with beautiful event design. As we began to near the Christmas season, I noticed this design page posting more and more Christmas decor at various businesses. Talk about a dream job...being able to decorate so many different spaces for the holidays, with many different themes and colors!

As you can imagine, the designer at Decoratively Speaking Events is bound to have beautiful Christmas decor at home as well. From the fun vintage welcome, to the beautiful formal dining room, to the plaid Mackenzie-Childs Breakfast Room; you are sure to find some festive holiday inspo. Grab a cup of coffee (or hot cocoa) and enjoy!

5 Cute Ways to Cover Up this Summer (Without A Coverup)

I love a cute swimsuit coverup, but sometimes I want something different, whether it's for a pool party or to go from the beach to the boardwalk. I've created these layouts to show which alternative coverups look good with certain type of swimsuits. A maxi skirt goes great with any triangle bikini top. I love how the tie dye maxi skirt above looks with a white bikini top.

I recently bought a hi-low tank to throw on over my new bikini, and I love it! It covers my bum in the back, but it still shows my bikini in the front. It's so cute. The hi-low and flouncy cropped trend is huge this summer for tanks tops, so you can find it just about anywhere. If you don't want a lot of coverage, go for a shorter flounce tank like the one pictured above. Keep the straps simple by pairing it with a bandeau bikini top. I love it with a printed bikini since a lot of the swimsuit shows underneath.

Fringed bikinis are a huge swimsuit trend for 2013. They have such a boho feel to them - perfect for pairing with a frayed denim mini skirt.

Ruffles are also very trendy in swimwear for 2013. My favorite version of this trend is the flounce bikini, which features one large ruffle over the bikini top. A flounce top, whether it's a bikini or a cropped top like the one above, goes perfect with a pair of cut-off jean shorts.

This look is more for a dressy pool party than a day at the beach. The bustier bikini top is very similar to the cropped bra top trend, which is very popular this summer. Pair it with a high-waisted skater skirt to show a sliver of midriff.

    1. Nope! Well, I'm going to start doing personal style posts about once a week...sometime soon. Then the editorial shoot in the swimsuit will be next month...shooting that in a few weeks.
