Must-Haves from Rivet Home Collection

I don't think I could ever fully commit to specific types of decor like boho-chic, modern, or industrial. But throw in a few mid-century mod or transitional pieces, and you can seamlessly incorporate each of these styles in one space. There are so many pieces in the new RIVET home collection, exclusively on Amazon, that fit the look. You can also glam up the look by adding in metallics or marble instead of wood, which the RIVET collection has plenty of as well! See all of my top picks below, and let me know which ones are your favorite! Pictured above: Black on White Blueprint of 1899 Typewriter

Fall Fashion Preview: J. Crew Fall/Holiday 2013 Collection

One of the most buzzed about women's collections for fall is the J.Crew 2013 Fall/Holiday Collection, presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week earlier this year, and it's easy to see why. Now bare with me. I know a lot of you wouldn't wear all of the looks as they were styled for the runway, and I don't blame you. However take a moment to look at the individual pieces. The collection is full of perfectly tailored trousers, glorious brocade prints, and a some sporty pieces. There is so much detail, yet somehow it's so streamlined. Though the looks are styled to perfection if you're fashion forward, you can make the pieces more wearable by pairing the prints with solid tops and the trousers with flats.

The first thing I noticed were the accessories. I can't help it, those are my favorite parts of any look. Let's face it, shoes have taken a strange turn in the recent years with high flat-forms, chunky heels, cut-out heels, etc. I love how all of the heels shown with this collection are classic pointy-toe heels, a few incorporating the ankle-strap trend (which I am obsessed with). These looks are perfect for wearing to work and for holiday events. The fun pieces mixed in, like the first two tops in the first picture and the striped tops can all work well with more casual look as well. Though the blazers are all so sleek and formal, they can totally go with jeans and a cool tee.
