Trending: Women's Black Sheer Mesh Swimsuits

Summer fashion continues on the blog this week with my favorite swimsuit trend for 2013 - the black mesh suit. While I love the other top trends this season like fringed and vintage swimsuits, I think the black mesh suits are so modern and sophisticated. I'm so excited to do a photo shoot in the Leonisa suit pictured below. Both a product review and editorial shoot are coming soon!

There are so many variations of the mesh suit, offering both a lot and very little coverage. These sheer swimsuits are a great way to wear a sexy bathing suit without having to sport a bikini. Although, the trend is also available in two-piece swimsuits, like the Alexander Wang suit pictured above. Most of them feature full coverage on the bum, and some even have light tummy control. All of the sheer mesh swimsuits featured here range in the hundreds and as low as $75.00. Here is an excellent full-coverage option in the Miraclesuit Women's Fashion Figures Jena OTS One Piece.

You can get in on the trend with a sheer black swimsuit coverup. These coverups look great with any of the mesh suits, as well as any solid black swimsuit. You may not want to wear this for a casual day at the beach, but it's perfect for a dressy pool party.

How to Style A Black Mesh Swimsuit

Accessorize the look with modern metallics and black gladiator sandals. I love the Vince Camuto Lily Tote in gold. A glamorous swimsuit like this one needs black over-sized sunglasses. For a fancy pool party, finish off the look with a red lip.

  1. Emphasis, on some, on very little coverage, mind you...
