KCL Friday Finds

Welcome to KCL Friday Finds! Today's shopping guide is full of affordable beauty-themed stocking stuffers. Don't get me wrong, I love to get candy and chocolates in my stocking, but I also love other gifts, like a cute new pair of socks and especially little beauty products.

A beauty stocking stuffer doesn't have to cost a lot. Between individual sheets masks and bath bombs  to lip balm and nail polish, you can find so many great options under $10. Several options below are even under $5.

The most universal of stocking stuffers, aside from candy, is lip balm. When given as a gift, go with something more luxurious than a Cherry Chapstick from the grocery store. My favorite lip balms at Bua Organics are all-natural and organic and come in options like Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Jojoba Oil. For a moisturizing lip balm with the addition of a fun scent, try Einstein Bath Co., for flavors like Sangria, Marshmallow, and Pink Frosting.

A wonderful way to give a luxury beauty…

Pic of the Week: Too Cool for School

My oldest daughter Kylie started 4th grade today. Every summer I get so excited for school to start and to have a quiet house again, especially since I work from home. Then on the first day, I always miss her like crazy. I keep glancing at the clock. When is it going to be 4pm? I can't wait to make her an after-school snack and hear all about her day; though inevitably when I ask her how her day was, she'll simply say "fine", and when I ask her what she did, she'll shrug her shoulders and say "nothing".

We went to the park by her school yesterday to take pics in her new back-to-school outfit. Luckily some misfit had tagged a nearby building, which made the perfect backdrop for her punk-inspired look.

  1. I've got a studded bracelet- a bit different from that- which I've had since high school.

Dad always wondered when I'd get rid of it.

    1. I'm glad Kylie fits into some of the junior's size bracelets so I can share with her.
