Me Too...

There is so much to be said on this subject, and speaking from experience, simply being able to hear other people's stories can have a huge impact on healing. So, yes, just the fact that women are speaking out, will in itself help other victims. So for this post, I am simply sharing my own stories. And of course the specific point of #metoo is to shed light on the magnitude of the problem. I don't know what the solution is, but I do hope that this helps in some small way, if only to help some of my readers to feel as if they're not alone, and that healing is possible.

With the phrase "grab them by the pussy" reverberating since the presidential election (unfortunately) and new and disgusting details of the Weinstein scandal surfacing by the day, it is hard to keep anxieties at bay. It's difficult to watch the news or scroll through Twitter when just the words "rape" and "molest" …

New York Fashion Week Spring 2014: The Best of Street Style

As New York Fashion Week comes to a close (and my carpal tunnel is flaring up), my favorite thing to do is catch up on all of the beautiful street style shots by fashion photography giants like Tommy Ton, Phil O, and Bill Cunnigham. They capture the catwalk, but more importantly they capture how the leaders in fashion- editors, stylists, designers, models, and bloggers wear the season's top trends in real life...or they're version of real life anyway.

What's more beautiful is the diversity, much like the thriving yin and yang of the people of New York. On the same sidewalk (glamorous in the movies though cluttered with scaffolding in real life) you find the socialite in a pencil skirt and perfectly pointed pumps next to the young model in her cut-off denim and studded boots, both equally stylish. I love you, New York.
