How to Improve Your Personal Style

An individual’s personal style is something that can set them apart and make them stand out in a room full of people. Even if you aren’t that into fashion, you can still develop a style that people can identify you by. Perhaps you’re wondering how you can improve your style and make it more interesting, or you’re at a point in your life that you’re hungry for change. New York Fashion Week Spring 2014: The Best of Street Style

As New York Fashion Week comes to a close (and my carpal tunnel is flaring up), my favorite thing to do is catch up on all of the beautiful street style shots by fashion photography giants like Tommy Ton, Phil O, and Bill Cunnigham. They capture the catwalk, but more importantly they capture how the leaders in fashion- editors, stylists, designers, models, and bloggers wear the season's top trends in real life...or they're version of real life anyway.

What's more beautiful is the diversity, much like the thriving yin and yang of the people of New York. On the same sidewalk (glamorous in the movies though cluttered with scaffolding in real life) you find the socialite in a pencil skirt and perfectly pointed pumps next to the young model in her cut-off denim and studded boots, both equally stylish. I love you, New York.
