25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

My Best Christmas-Themed Pinterest Boards

I absolutely love Christmas, and I have, clinically, I seriously have OCD. Hence I have a ton of categorized Christmas Pinterest boards. I'm baffled by pinners who merely have one "Holidays" board. Not only did I find it necessary to create separate boards for Christmas, but I have specific holiday boards like "A Gingerbread Christmas" and "Candy Cane Desserts". You can keep up with all of my holiday boards by following me on Pinterest, or you can follow just a few of your favorites. Here are all of my holiday boards for the Christmas season. If you love to pin for the holidays, please leave your profile link in the comments below so we can all follow each other.

1. Christmas Home Decor. On my Christmas Home Decor pinterest board, you'll find both inspiration and beautiful products to get you started on your holiday decorations both inside and outside the home.

2. DIY Christmas Ornaments. While I have a separate board for general Christmas crafts, I think that DIY Christmas ornaments deserve their own board. There are so many wonderful ornament tutorials out there, and I think it's the one holiday craft kids love. It's a great way to save money on Christmas decor, and it's a fun way to keep the kids busy during winter break.

3. DIY Christmas Crafts. From holiday wreath tutorials to DIY advent calendars and DIY home decor projects, my DIY Christmas Crafts Pinterest board is full of ideas for filling your home with holiday cheer.

4. Oh Christmas Tree. This one is quite literal. Rather than putting these on Christmas Home Decor, I wanted to put all the beautiful Christmas tree photos in one place. I also love to feature creative alternatives to the traditional Christmas tree, as well as Christmas trees from around the world and beautiful shop-display windows. Check out the Oh Christmas Tree board for inspiration as you decorate your own tree.

5. A Gingerbread Christmas. I love the look of beautifully crafted gingerbread houses and rows of decorated gingerbread cookies. My board A Gingerbread Christmas is a place for all things gingerbread for the holidays, whether decor, DIY's, recipes, or beautiful photography; you'll find gingerbread inspiration on this board.

6. Festive Christmas Food. My Festive Christmas Food board is for not only festive desserts but also for fun Christmas-themed savory dishes and bite-size appetizers that are perfect for entertaining.

7. Christmas Cookies. This really does deserve it's own board, doesn't it? If you only make one dessert during the holidays with your children, it has to be Christmas cookies for Santa. Cookies are also the perfect handmade holiday gift because you can make big batches and package them for multiple recipients, and they ship well. Whether you need a new recipe for a cookie sway or want some inspiration for some festive treats, check out all of the recipes on my Christmas Cookies board.

8. Candy Cane / Peppermint Desserts. Candy canes instantly get me in the holiday mood. Slap some crushed candy canes on any basic dessert and you have an instant festive treat. There are so many beautiful and delicious peppermint dessert recipes on the web, as well as candy cane party inspiration, I wanted them all in one place - my Candy Cane / Peppermint Desserts board.

9. Cranberry Crush. Enough said, right? For fall I started a Pumpkin Recipes board, but for Christmas, I'm all about eggnog and cranberries. (I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I start an eggnog board.) There are so many ways to cook with cranberries other than the traditional cranberry sauce. I love to bake them into breads, cakes, and pies. While I plan to make plenty of my own cranberry recipes for my personal blog, I love drawing inspiration from other sites. From cocktails and appetizers to a wide variety of desserts, you can find a lot of yummy cranberry recipes on my Cranberry Crush board, as well as a few cranberry-themed decor posts.

10. A Very Girly Christmas. I always decorate my girls' room for the holidays, and that means incorporating a lot of pink. It's the perfect excuse to decorate with pink, girly Christmas ornaments. Though I don't decorate with pink in common areas, I do love modern-glam Christmas decor. I just started posting inspiration on my newest holiday board A Very Girly Christmas.

11. Give with Style. This holiday board can be used year round, though Christmas is a time for giving. My Give with Style Board is all about beautiful gift packaging, including both inspiration and DIY gift-wrapping tutorials.

12. Handmade Holiday Gifts. My Handmade Holiday Gifts board isn't just about packaging ideas but the gift itself. It includes gift ideas and tutorials for gifts like body scrub and beautifully packaged gourmet gifts.
