3 Looks for a Summer Wedding

It seems not too long ago when I shared three looks to wear to a spring wedding. But that season has come and gone so quickly, and summer is upon us. And it is the biggest season of the year for weddings, so chances are you have a few invites and may be wondering what to wear. It's pretty easy to figure out summer wedding attire if you keep the location in mind.

Of course you have the invite to start with as well. It should say "Black Tie Attire" or "Black Tie Optional" or perhaps something like "Formal Beach Attire," and it will have the ceremony time. Generally indoor evening weddings call for more formal attire than outdoor afternoon weddings.

Snickerdoodle-Toffee Chip Cookies


One of my favorite cookies at Christmas time is the snickerdoodle. The combination of a traditional sugar cookie and cinnamon make me feel like the holidays have officially begun. Don't get me wrong, I love decorating gingerbread cookies for Christmas, but when it comes to eating Christmas cookies, pass the snickerdoodles! This year I wanted to switch up the flavor (and perk up store-bought snickerdoodle cookie mix), so I added toffee chips. The result was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. Whether you want a delicious new cookie to give as easy Christmas gifts, or if you simply want to add a new flavor to your Christmas cookies this year, try my semi-homemade Snickerdoodle Toffee Chip cookies.

Ingredients:
  • 1 package snickerdoodle cookie mix
  • 1 C toffee bits
  • cinnamon sugar for coating cookies

Mix the snickerdoodle cookie dough according to the directions on the package (or make sugar cookie dough from scratch) then stir in 1 cup toffee bits. Roll the dough into uniform 1&1/2" balls and roll in cinnamon sugar (if making from scratch, use ratio of 1/2 sugar: 1/2 ground cinnamon). Place dough balls on cookie sheet a few inches apart and bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Let cool on a rack before packaging.
