KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, guys!! I am super excited to share some new Friday Finds with you! It's a bit of a mix, as we all seem to be anticipating Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at once now. Though I'm trying my hardest to live in the moment with pumpkins and autumn decor. I know after Halloween, everyone will be all about Christmas, but we should slow down and enjoy the harvest decor up to Thanksgiving, don't you think? As always, there are a few printables in the mix for last-minute decor, as well as some products for my fellow wine lovers, and some more awesome discounts that were created just for you Friday Finds readers!! 🙂🍂 So you know the drill, grab a cup of coffee and sit down for a break, so you can relax and browse these amazing shops.

First let's kick things off with this week's featured candle. I just have to feature a candle each week. It's the perfect season to cozy up with a good book and flickering candle light. A scented candle is also th…

Little Purple Dresses & What to Wear Them With

Last year before Valentine's Day, I featured little pink dresses and little red dresses. I'm still amazed at how many views these posts get compared to everything else on the site. We ladies love our little dresses I suppose. And while I still think it's great to have a standard little black dress, it's nice to mix things up and get some color. This year I've got purple on the brain. The rich, dark pinks and fuchsias are still very hot this year, but in case you haven't already heard, radiant orchid is the it color for 2014. Much like the flower, the color orchid ranges in many different shades. As long as you get a purple with some pink undertones, you've got radiant orchid. Think fuchsia with a bit more purple.

It's easy to see in both of the layouts above that this shade of purple works well on just about any skin tone, which makes it an ideal color for a bridesmaid dress.

There are a few different options when it comes to accessorizing a radiant orchid dress. It look great with either gold or silver. If you go with silver, you can add in some white with the shoes or clutch. If you pair it with gold accessories, you can add on black shoes or a black clutch. You could color block with pink or with cool tones like blue, but metallics are very hot for spring and summer 2014. I'd go with gold.
