KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend!! We are still busy over here with getting settled in. I know Ken and I will be utterly happy when we don't have to do anything extra to do...just a normal day-to-day routine plus our dates on the weekends. We will at least be on more of a schedule this coming week, as our kiddos start at their new school! And I've managed to get on a bit of a schedule with work, with just a few extra things on my to-do. I hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy some of my favorite links from the week. Grab a cup of coffee and sit back and relax. Image via Chevrons & Eclairs.

Five Ways to Wear Gladiator Sandals this Summer

Knee-high gladiator sandals are a huge trend this year, though you may be wondering how on earth to style them. First let's talk color. I think a pair in black is best because it looks sleek and is easier to tie in with a patterned top or dress that has black to anchor the print. You can also get a pair in gold or silver; it's a great option that won't look as overwhelming as a dark color. Personally I'd stay away from brown leather paired with a classic gladiator design, because it looks too literal, like you're off to a toga party. Try brown gladiator sandals in a more delicate design, like this one >. If you're not ready for the tall version, each of these looks would look just as perfect with short gladiator sandals.
The first look is my favorite way to style gladiator sandals. Pair them with a bold-printed fit and flare dress that has some black in the print. I love the look with some fringed earrings, though I don't want to be head-to-toe in boho chic. A great way to mix it up is with a black studded cross body bag.

For a super casual look, pair gladiator sandals with frayed jean shorts and a flouncy hi-low tank. You can dress it up a little with a cool boho-chic pendant necklace and beaded bracelets. Finish off the look with a fringed bag.

Another cute dress you can wear gladiator sandals for the summer is with printed tank dress. You could go with a solid black or white dress, but I love how this printed dress ties in with the sandals.

A dressy-casual way to wear tall gladiator sandals is to pair them with black or denim shorts and a pretty summer blouse. Go for a boho-chic embroidered peasant top.

This is a great look for a summer vacation. Rompers are super trendy this year, and they look great with strappy sandals. Find a black and white printed romper to go with the gladiator sandals. Add on some layered necklaces and a straw summer tote.
