25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

Karlie Kloss Capsule Collection for Warby Parker

Eye wear brand Warby Parker has launched a chic new collection of sunglasses with the help of supermodel Karlie Kloss. The model, who has previously worked with other brands in the design aspect, has teamed with the brand to create an elegant yet modern collection of sunglasses, just in time for summer. What I love most about this collection is it is also in collaboration with The Edible Schoolyard Project, which provides kitchens and gardens to low-income public schools.

"Collaborating with Warby Parker on this capsule collection was an amazing experience. I've always admired their commitment to social enterprise and am so excited that our partnership is supporting Edible Schoolyard NYC's inspiring work," Karlie says.

The giving doesn't end with the donation to Edible Schoolyard. Warby Parker, already having given over 500,00 pairs of eyeglasses to people in need with their Buy A Pair, Give A Pair program, will do the same with every sale in this collection - for every pair sold, they donate a pair of glasses.

There are three sunglasses in the set; including the Julia, Clara, and Marple, each in several different shades and frames. My personal favorite is the Clara Gold (pictured above) in the copper fade with heirloom gold frames. The gradient brown shade paired with the gold frame is so chic and would look great with both my casual and dressy summer outfits. Here is a peek at my favorite colors in the Julia and Marple designs, all of which are available in Copper Fade, Violet Clover, Sepia Wash, Faded Slate, and Indigo Wash.

Let me know which one is your favorite! Each pair is $145 and will be available starting today exclusively at Warby Parker in stores and online.

  1. Ooooh, these glasses are stunning. I especially love the ones worn by the model in the first picture.

I love that there's a Buy A Pair, Give A Pair program - I love when businesses do charitable work like this... makes me really want to stand behind their brand.

Thanks for sharing. (I have to admit, my eye has been straying to your sidebar... I have to check out that fried green tomato recipe)!!!

    Wishing you a lovely day.
