3 Looks for a Summer Wedding

It seems not too long ago when I shared three looks to wear to a spring wedding. But that season has come and gone so quickly, and summer is upon us. And it is the biggest season of the year for weddings, so chances are you have a few invites and may be wondering what to wear. It's pretty easy to figure out summer wedding attire if you keep the location in mind.

Of course you have the invite to start with as well. It should say "Black Tie Attire" or "Black Tie Optional" or perhaps something like "Formal Beach Attire," and it will have the ceremony time. Generally indoor evening weddings call for more formal attire than outdoor afternoon weddings.

Pic of the Week: A Mother's Work Is Never Done


In my garden up front a momma duck has taken to laying eggs under one of our bushes the last two years. She sits dutifully on her eggs day and night, rain or shine. My girls feed her bits of crackers and bread each day. Such a devoted birdy deserves a little room service, don't you think? We're very eager to see the little ducklings hatch.

  1. I love this! It reminds me of the ducks at the park I used to take Collin to when he was little. They'd see us and come running. Once, the local newspaper ran a photo of the ducks leaving the park, with the caption, "Why Did the Ducks Cross the Road?"

    Our car was parked on the other side.

    1. Aw, that's neat. There are so many around here. It's not unusual to see a mom and her babies crossing the road.
