Every Thanksgiving hostess has his or her moments of anxiety. Hell, I've been making holiday dinners and hosting dinner parties for a decade, and I still get a little nervous when it come to roasting the perfect turkey. That combined with kids, houseguests, and having to make an endless supply of side dishes all timed in perfect harmony...it's a lot for one person. The Daily Find: Nine West Women's Byteme Synthetic Ballet Flat

Today's find is something I recently bought for myself, and I love it!! You may know that I'm in my best friend's wedding this summer (because I've mentioned it about a thousand time this year). While I've been so excited to dress up and share her special day, I've been concerned about which shoes to wear. If you follow the blog closely, you may also know that I have a back injury which makes it pretty much impossible for me to wear heels, especially while standing through pictures, a ceremony, and dancing the night away. After getting my strapless pleated gown, I had resolved to give up on the idea of even wearing kitten heels and just get some ballet flats, knowing they wouldn't show that much anyway. Then I saw this wedding look on Style Me Pretty Weddings, and I knew I had to get some dressy peep-toe flats. The part that shows under the gown gives the illusion of dressy pumps without the discomfort of wearing heels.

I'm also on a major budget given all my other travel expenses this year, so I was so happy to find this Nine West Women's Byteme Synthetic Ballet Flat on Amazon. It was under $30 for the pair, and when I received them I immediately tried them on with my dress. They look so expensive, feel so comfortable, and look just as good with my gown as a pair of heels would. What I love the most about these flats is they're still casual enough for me to wear with a summer dress or tailored shorts this summer, and they'll transition through fall and spring with skinnies and a nice blouse. The pair is also available in gold, pink, or red. If you're attending a wedding or formal occasion this year and need some comfortable, affordable, and chic flats; I cannot recommend this pair enough! Click here to shop.
