Easy DIY Halloween Party Favors

There are so many cute Halloween party favor ideas floating about the web, like the witch's broom goodie bags for example, though they do require some DIY experience. These tin-tie bakery bags are the perfect size for a Halloween goodie bag, and they require no crafting skills. I love howthe favor bags I made them with are cute enough for kids but still nice enough for the grown-ups as well. All you need are the bakery bags, ribbon, and 3D Halloween stickers from the craft store. You can use the smaller bag pictured above or a larger bakery bag with a window display. I like to fill the larger ones with treats to give out as holiday presents to neighbors and teachers.

Simply fill the bags with a Halloween treat (homemade or store-bought), close them up and tie them off with ribbon, then affix a sticker to each bag. These are food-grade bags, so they're perfect to fill with homemade fall treats like popcorn, kettle corn, or Halloween chocolates. Try my DIY gourmet popcorn

Lauren Conrad Gives InStyle a Tour of Her Beverly Hills Penthouse

Lifestyle and fashion guru (and former MTV star) Lauren Conrad gave InStyle the grand tour of her California penthouse for their October 2014 issue, and it's incredibly stunning. Much like you would expect if you follow her website, every single room down to the last detail is styled to perfection. I love how she has mixed neutrals and a few modern pieces with glamorous traditional decor. And that closet! I want to move into that ASAP. It looks like a pretty big penthouse. I doubt she'd notice if I camped out there, right?

In the interview with InStyle, Lauren says her design style is much like her approach to fashion and her clothing line; she likes to pick classic investment pieces, like if she's going to invest in a nice couch, it's going to be a neutral white couch. When asked which room is her favorite, she said, "My favorite room in my house might be my bathroom. It's very peaceful in there. I'm a big fan of a claw-foot tub for that day when you want to come home and take a bath."

  1. I was going to ask, but your mentioning MTV made me remember she was one of those Hills people.
