My Favorite Jewelry Trends for Fall

As back-to-school approaches, I can't help but look forward to the Fall season. One of the best things about Fall in my opinion, is the fashion! With tall boots and suede hats to chic satchels and statement jewelry, it's the best time of the year to have fun with accessories. Personally, one of my favorite Autumn accessories, and the easiest way to update an outfit, is jewelry. From a big bold ear cuff to minimal gold necklaces with interesting little pendants, my fashion forecast for Fall this year includes more modern and sleek pieces.

For example, while I tend to love a pair of sparkly statement studs or a larger dangling statement earring, this Fall I see a modern ear cuff being one of the biggest earring trends, and it's definitely one of my favorite jewelry trends! It looks great on its own or paired with some gold hoops, and you can even pair it with a cool ear crawler. These elegant and modern ear cuffs come with sleek built-in tassel earrings. September Letter from the Editor

September is here! I hope you've all have a wonderful summer. Last month I talked about how to handle transitions and those uncomfortable in-between times we all experience. It really is possible to be joyful and grateful during those challenging times.

This month I want to talk about something that happens every fall to nearly all the women I know. Back to school gets us busy, then we add on the holidays, and we're even more busy. I have found myself saying things like, "I don't have enough time to get it all done" or "I can't wait for the holidays to be over so I can relax". If we don't learn to calm down and just enjoy what we can, the holidays can be a miserable time. I don't want to be miserable and stressed during the holidays. I love the holidays!!

It took me a long time to get past that attitude, but the last few years, I have thoroughly enjoyed the holidays. It wasn't that I'd finally gotten everything done and made everything just the way I'd imagined it. Rather it was that I'd finally let go of that desire to make everything perfect. What's so perfect about a beautiful holiday meal if you're completely frazzled anyway?

A few years ago a friend confided in me that she felt so much guilt and stress over not doing enough. I told her that really she needed to figure out what she really wanted to do, because no one is handing out medals for this shit. Really no one else cares as much about what you're doing than you! They're all too busy feeling guilty and stressed over their own lives. Whether you're feeling guilty about not participating enough at your child's school or stressed that you won't get all of your holiday decorating done before family comes to visit; say it over and over to yourself no one is giving away medals for this shit. If you're truly doing your best, well then that is the best you can possibly do, right?
