Perhaps you’re wondering how you can improve your style and make it more interesting, or you’re at a point in your life that you’re hungry for change. Whatever the case, you can improve your style at any time you want to, just be open to trying something new. Here are practical ways that you can improve your personal style nevertheless.

Trending: Grey Ankle Boots for Fall

Grey is one of those colors we always see for fall, but for 2014, it's a little extra trendy. The season's hottest shoe trends, like mod boots and chunky-heel boots are available in shades of grey - from a soft heather grey to a dark smokey grey. You'll notice a lot of the light grey booties come with a soft suede finish and chunky wood-tone heels, while the dark grey boots tend to come in sleek leather. Though you can get suede ankle boots in just about any shade of grey this season. Here are some of my favorites at different price points. This content contains affiliate links.

There are so many ways to wear a grey ankle boot, though the looks featured above are my favorite ways to style them. I love grey paired with black and a rich shade of purple. This color combination works well the other way around as well. For example, pair a grey dress or sweater with a rich plum-colored satchel. A softer grey boot is more versatile. You can wear it with black and darker colors, but as you can see in Look #2 above, it also goes very well with beige, particularly a bootie with a brown chunky heel.
