Easy DIY Halloween Party Favors

There are so many cute Halloween party favor ideas floating about the web, like the witch's broom goodie bags for example, though they do require some DIY experience. These tin-tie bakery bags are the perfect size for a Halloween goodie bag, and they require no crafting skills. I love howthe favor bags I made them with are cute enough for kids but still nice enough for the grown-ups as well. All you need are the bakery bags, ribbon, and 3D Halloween stickers from the craft store. You can use the smaller bag pictured above or a larger bakery bag with a window display. I like to fill the larger ones with treats to give out as holiday presents to neighbors and teachers.

Simply fill the bags with a Halloween treat (homemade or store-bought), close them up and tie them off with ribbon, then affix a sticker to each bag. These are food-grade bags, so they're perfect to fill with homemade fall treats like popcorn, kettle corn, or Halloween chocolates. Try my DIY gourmet popcorn

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0544133331?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=0544133331&linkCode=xm2&tag=las00-20"Divided into Morning, Brunch, Noon, and Night, with color palettes to match, Sweet Paul Eat and Make includes breakfast dishes like Morning Biscuits with Cheddar, Dill, and Pumpkin Seeds and brunches like Smoked Salmon Hash with Scallions, Dill, and Eggs. For lunch, there’s a super-quick Risotto with Asparagus, and for dinner, Maple-Roasted Chicken and a stunning Norwegian specialty, World’s Best Cake. Rustically chic craft projects—paper flowers made out of coffee filters, a vegetable-dyed tablecloth, and a trivet from wooden clothespins—will captivate even those who are all thumbs."

Paul Lowe of the breakout blog and lifestyle magazine Sweet Paul thrilled cooks and crafters this year when
he came out with his book Eat & Make. I've poured over it several times at the book store, and it's definitely top on my Christmas list. Just like the magazine and Paul's blog, the book is full of beautiful recipes for both everyday and entertaining, as well as incredibly unique yet fairly easy crafts. He truly shines when it comes to the holidays, so this would make the most excellent holiday hostess gift. The hardcover is available for only $15. Buy It Now >
