My Favorite Jewelry Trends for Fall

As back-to-school approaches, I can't help but look forward to the Fall season. One of the best things about Fall in my opinion, is the fashion! With tall boots and suede hats to chic satchels and statement jewelry, it's the best time of the year to have fun with accessories. Personally, one of my favorite Autumn accessories, and the easiest way to update an outfit, is jewelry. From a big bold ear cuff to minimal gold necklaces with interesting little pendants, my fashion forecast for Fall this year includes more modern and sleek pieces.

For example, while I tend to love a pair of sparkly statement studs or a larger dangling statement earring, this Fall I see a modern ear cuff being one of the biggest earring trends, and it's definitely one of my favorite jewelry trends! It looks great on its own or paired with some gold hoops, and you can even pair it with a cool ear crawler. These elegant and modern ear cuffs come with sleek built-in tassel earrings. A Cozy Country Christmas

A cozy country look is such a warm and inviting look for the holidays. In my single, one-bedroom-apartment days, I gravitated towards sleek modern Christmas decor. Though in the last few years I've gotten more and more traditional with my Christmas decorations. I always struggle between glamorous vs. rustic, and while there are ways to incorporate both, I definitely love to decorate with more vintage-inspired pieces as well as items made with natural materials. It creates a comforting and cozy look for the holidays. My husband and I both like a mix between cozy and classic...so pretty much everything in Pottery Barn!

Quick Tips for Creating a County Christmas Look
  • Include natural elements like twine, pine cones, wood, and burlap.
  • Use vintage-inspired pieces like a primitive barn star and tin lanterns. *Turn a mission-style lantern into a beautiful Christmas centerpiece by adding red ribbon and greenery (see photo below).
  • Stick with muted tones. For example if you go with a blue and white color palette, pick a dusk blue rather than a sapphire or navy blue.
  • Incorporate plaid patterns and cozy cable knit items.
  • Stick with bronze or tin as opposed to gold and silver, but don't be afraid to add a little sparkle. I like to pair red glittery ball ornaments with my country ornaments. That paired with twinkling white lights really helps to showcase the rustic elements.
  • When shopping for Christmas Country items online, look for products under "Vintage", "Primitive", "Rustic", and of course "Country Christmas"
