The Find: L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm

I can't tell you how many deep conditioners I've tried over the years. While I tend to use olive oil or coconut oil as a deep conditioning treatment before I hop in the shower and a tiny bit more as a leave-in conditioner afterwards, I occasionally fall for a new product while I'm at the store. The L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm promises to" repair up to one year of damage in one use." As it's under $10 for an 8.5oz jar, I figured it was worth a shot. I'm so glad I tried it! Do keep in mind that despite marketing claims, the only 100% guaranteed way to get rid of split ends is to snip them off, though this deep conditioner beautifully smooths them down if you can't make it to get a trim just yet. This leaves my crazy wavy hair so much more sleek and soft without weighing it down or stripping the curls. I've tossed out my daily conditioner to use this a few times a week in addition to my leave-in oils. For my long, thick hair one jar lasts me about 4 washes. If you don't want to use it that often, you should at least give it a try if you have an important event or date night. Buy it here >
