Blogger Style NYFW SS 2018

I've been doing this post for several years now, and you guys always seem to love it more than any other fashion post, so here we go again for the most recent fashion week in New York! Some of my favorite American designers; like Michael Kors, Zac Posen, Tori Burch, and Rachel Zoe had sme amazing spring / summer 2018 collections. But I also love to see the street style, because it fits in with the current fashion season, and well, because it's so fun! Pictured above: KERRently by Courtney Kerr

This year it seemed as if everyone went to fashion week. Usually I have to look and look and look for enough outfits to fill up my post. This year, however, I had to majorly narrow down my picks. Everyone went, and everyone wore multiple outfits a day!

Two Date-Night Beauty Looks featuring Revlon Lipstick

Date night is a time to feel beautiful, feminine, and sexy. I can't think of a better way to achieve that than with a gorgeous shade of lipstick. I've chosen two shades from the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick collection for Valentine's Day to celebrate their #LOVEISON campaign.

In the first look, I'm wearing Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Pearl 657 in Fuschia Fusion. It's a universally flattering shade of hot pink that went surprisingly well with my dark hair and tan complexion. I kept the eye makeup soft, using just a touch of brown eyeliner and a coating of the pink and gold shimmer eyeshadow from the new e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow Palette, California. I swept on a dark mauve blush with a pink shimmering highlighter to make the look even more feminine. I think it goes to show that you can add color to several different areas of the face without it looking too heavy. It's all about blending properly and incorporating subtle shimmer to soften the look.

The second look is something a little more sexy. I went straight from the first look to the second, only wiping off the pink lipstick to make way for the red, so it's the perfect makeup look for day to evening. I started with the same shimmery pink color from the e.l.f. palette and applied a few more coats over my lids, then I used a darker purple shade to add definition along the crease and outer corners of the eyes. I really do love using the e.l.f baked palette for these looks, because I can add on layers without it looking too saturated. It's perfect for blending, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is a beginner with makeup. One accidental swipe isn't going to stick out like it would with a highly-pigmented shadow, and it let's the bold lipstick be the main feature. I'm wearing the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Pearl 028 in Cherry Blossom. It's such a flattering shade of red that works really well on cool-tone complexions as well as warm-tones on both fair and medium-tan skin. I took the eye liner up a notch with New York Color Liquid Eyeliner in black. I used a subtle winged application from the inner to outer corner of the top lash lines and a light application on the lower lids starting from the middle outward was just enough to add some glamor without looking overdone.

  2. Beautiful look!! I actually recently was looking for a SPF15 lip balm in Target and stumbled on one by Elf. It's really good! I like that they don't have a ton of yucky ingredients. This lip color is awesome on you! :)
