Blogger Style: NYFW Fall 2018

NYFW has come and gone, though the beautiful street style looks continue to grace my Instagram feed, and I am loving it! I don't know how these bloggers do it...running from show to show, and add to that the parties, sponsor events, fittings, and meetings. Yet they still have time to churn out content for readers as well. Anyone who thinks blogging isn't a job knows absolutely nothing about blogging! These ladies are so inspiring, not just with their killer style, but with their self-made and much earned successes. Here are just a few of my faves and a snippet of the top looks from the concrete runway. Enjoy!

Aimee Song from Song of Style is my all-time fave. She has the best fashion week videos, and as you can see, is just so cool. I love that her style is always inspirational yet relatable. Song incorporates unique trends and top brands but styles them in a way that isn't too out there. She often has the most exquisite accessory details, as you can also see above, and i…

How to Wear Knee-High Lace-Up Gladiator Sandals

The knee-high gladiator sandal, particularly the lace-up gladiator, is bigger than ever this summer, though styling this trend is still elusive to the average gal. If you're a newbie to the trend, stick with one of these silhouettes, and you can't go wrong.

1. SHORT T-SHIRT DRESS

This is one of my favorite ways to style the trend. It shows off the legs and really highlights the sandals. This is a really cute summer date look. It's sexy and polished but still casual enough for daytime. Play it safe with a solid-colored dress or pair silver lace-up sandals with a geo-print dress. If you have brown gladiators, pair them with a crisp white button-down shirt dress.

2. FLARED MIDI SKIRT

It's important too pair tall gladiators with a skirt the is knee length or shorter in most cases, but this flared midi skirt hit just below the knee. The thin straps on these particular lace-up gladiators keep the outfit from looking too bottom-heavy. Paired with a sexy crop top, it's perfect for summer. It's a cool look for a summer cocktail party.

3. SHORT SHIFT DRESS

This is the same concept as the body-con T-shirt dress pictured above but in a more relaxed way. It's the perfect look for a weekend girls trip.

4. SHORT SHORTS

Whether you go with dressy shorts, cut-off denim, or a summer romper; short shorts look great with knee-high gladiators. The lace-up sandals like the ones featured in this post look best with a slightly dressy pair of shorts. Pair denim shorts with the classic knee-high gladiators or some cool fringed gladiators.

5. OPEN-FRONT MAXI

While you may not want to pair lace-up gladiators with a long maxi skirt, this is an exception to the rule. A hi-low or front-slit maxi is the perfect way to wear this trend on vacation.

  4. Thanks for the ideas! I am short, I like to appear tall and I feel senuous in a heel. I wish to find a Knee-high Gladiator sandal with 2.5" to 3 inch heel. Most are flat or 4" high. Do you have any suggestions??
