Q&A: Thanksgiving 911

Every Thanksgiving hostess has his or her moments of anxiety. Hell, I've been making holiday dinners and hosting dinner parties for a decade, and I still get a little nervous when it come to roasting the perfect turkey. That combined with kids, houseguests, and having to make an endless supply of side dishes all timed in perfect harmony...it's a lot for one person. 1. What if I overcook the turkey, and the breast meat is dry? Slice it thin and soak it in warm chicken or turkey stock.

Quick Summer Makeup with One Palette

Now you still need foundation, eyeliner, and mascara of course; but for this simple summer makeup look, you only need one palette for your cheeks and eyes. It can be a bit confusing these days with all of the multi-color eyeshadow palettes and bronzers. Personally I love to use blush/bronzer compacts in the summer, because it's a quick and easy way to swipe on some color, and it's perfect for traveling.

I've been using bronzer for quite a few years now and have shared with you guys before how I love to use my bronzer on both my cheeks and my eyelids. Though it can still be confusing for beginners, because a lot of the blush and bronzer compacts have 3 to 4 shades, sometimes even more. My solution this summer is the new e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder in Antigua. The brown is dark while the blush is very bold, but they both go on sheer, so you can apply them as lightly or heavy as you prefer.

Easy Summer Makeup

If you prefer more neutral shades without the shimmer, try the e.l.f blush and bronzer duo in "St. Lucia". The tutorial above will work the same with the different color options. In addition to the blush and bronzer, I used a black crayon eyeliner to create a super quick winged eyeliner, topped it off with mascara, and used the e.l.f. Hypershine Lip Gloss.
