A DIY Off-the-Shoulder Maxi Dress
One of my favorite trends this year is the off-the-shoulder look. In both blouses and dresses, this trend is everywhere.
And as much as I love the grey maxi dress I'm wearing in this post, it's a bit too form-fitting around the waist for me. I've paired it with loose-fitting floucy tanks to create the look of a flutter-top maxi, but the last time I was lounging in my black tee, it suddenly hit me that I could probably toss it over the grey maxi for a DIY off-the-shoulder look.
Create a similar look with a top and maxi skirt or a different-colored tank dress. For example, you could pair a bright-colored maxi with a white top, or create a color block look with two different colors. You could also go with a monochromatic version. Look for a maxi with spaghetti straps and a tee with a wide scoop neck. Honestly, I got this black ruched scoop-neck tee from the pajama area at Walmart for $5.00. But if you would like a slightly higher-quality version, by all means shop the link below. The dress is something you could easily find for about $20 - $30. There is a link below for that as well.
