KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, guys!! And most importantly, Happy Friday 13th! We absolutely love Halloween in our family, so a Friday 13th in October is basically another day to celebrate the holiday. It's like THE ultimate day for a scary movie night, right?!

We haven't decided which one yet, but we are considering of course a Friday 13th movie, though I'm sure there will be plenty of scary movies on TV and streaming to pick from. One thing is for sure, we are totally going to watch the new LORE anthology on Amazon. But first, let's grab a cup of coffee and look at some amazing new Friday finds! Pictured: Skull Candle Holder

Naturally I have some Halloween picks for you guys today. The first is one of my favorite things for Halloween decor - a skull. Either one pictured above is perfect for a spooky Halloween centerpiece. It's hard to say which is my favorite.

I love how the first skull candle holder looks with the red candle dripping down, though I also love that the Plaster S…

A Tour of the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks, OK

Even after I'd spent nearly a decade on the east coast, including a trip to the huge aquarium in the Baltimore Harbor, my munchkins and I were quite impressed with the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks, OK. Now that we're here for good, we definitely plan to go back. With both fresh and saltwater exhibits, including interactive exhibits in which the kiddos can reach into the water and touch some of the marine life, as well as a gift shop and family portrait area; it was a fun experience that the kids loved.

What can I say? My girls are just as goofy as I am; we never miss an opportunity for a silly photo. If you don't want to pay for the visitor photo inside, there are three different statues near the entrance that are perfect for getting that group shot.

The local area has quite a few restaurants if you want to make a day of it, and general admission starts at just $11.95 for kids and $15.95 for adults. The aquarium posts their feeding schedules and special events, and they offer private tours for an additional fee. You can see all of that info here >. If you live near the Tulsa area and need somewhere fun to take the kids (or just to go by yourself), I highly suggest a day at the Oklahoma Aquarium.
