3 DIY Exfoliating Facial Masks

Exfoliating is one of the most important steps when it comes to skincare. As we age, the skin doesn't naturally exfoliate as often, so it needs a little help. The immediate benefit to exfoliating is that it removes dead skin and encourages skin cell renewal, for younger looking skin. If you incorporate an exfoliating scrub into your skincare regimen once a week, the long term benefits include a reduction of dark spots, scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. Best of all, with regular at-home exfoliation, you don't need to spend a lot of money on expensive microdermabrasion treatments. With these easy-to-make DIY masks, you'll enjoy glowing, younger-looking skin with the added bonus of a fun and relaxing #selfcaresunday.

I've created three different DIY exfoliating masks to meet different skincare needs and to match different skin types. Each mask is formulated with an essential oil to enhance those skincare benefits. Though you could omit them and just use the first two ingr…

Had to See Him Again

After my first date with my husband, I knew I wanted to see him again. For our second date, we had plans to see a movie, because he wanted to show me Warren Theater in Broken Arrow. I did some major shopping that week for just the right dress.

I love to wear a dress any chance I get. And while some dresses look more flattering on than hanging up, this LC Lauren Conrad dress was something I knew right away would look beautiful as well as flattering. A low-cut fit and flare dress is something every girl should have: It's sexy, cute, and comfortable all in one. It's also the perfect opportunity to wear flats. I don't wear heels too often, and while I love a fitted pencil skirt, a pleated or flared dress looks just as good with dressy flats. I like to pair dresses with peep-toe or pointy-toe flats whenever I skip the heels. It gives it a much more dressy look than typical ballet flats.

I'm so happy with how versatile this dress is. It can be somewhat dressy, and could even work at a black-tie optional event. It works for more than one season as well. The neutral stripe print and thick texture make it wearable during the colder months, though it's still great for spring and summer. It's a bit more fancy than a casual spring/summer dress, but it isn't so dressy that you couldn't wear it on a nice date night. Dress it up with pointy-toe heels and statement jewelry to wear it to a bridal shower or even a black-tie optional wedding. I can tell I'm going to get a lot of use out of this dress.

The dress is no longer available online, but it may still be available in your local Kohl's store. It was originally over $50.00, but on sale around $30.00. Shop similar dresses here >>
