KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, guys!! I am super excited to share some new Friday Finds with you! It's a bit of a mix, as we all seem to be anticipating Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at once now. Though I'm trying my hardest to live in the moment with pumpkins and autumn decor. I know after Halloween, everyone will be all about Christmas, but we should slow down and enjoy the harvest decor up to Thanksgiving, don't you think? As always, there are a few printables in the mix for last-minute decor, as well as some products for my fellow wine lovers, and some more awesome discounts that were created just for you Friday Finds readers!! 🙂🍂 So you know the drill, grab a cup of coffee and sit down for a break, so you can relax and browse these amazing shops.

First let's kick things off with this week's featured candle. I just have to feature a candle each week. It's the perfect season to cozy up with a good book and flickering candle light. A scented candle is also th…

Boho Waves at Rachel Zoe S/S 2016

There were several stand-out hair trends at NYFW this fall. Designer Rachel Zoe and Tresemme teamed up to show off one of the hottest hairstyles seen during fashion week. The loose, smooth waves (similar to Rachel Zoe's signature hair style) dominated not just Zoe's but several other runway shows as well, including Badgley Mischka and Erin Fetherston.

Similar to the recently popular beach waves, the look is loose and wavy with the difference being that the waves are even more relaxed and are more smooth, accompanied by a middle part. It will no doubt be a huge hairstyle trend for spring 2016. Here's the official tutorial from Tresemme on how they created this look for the Rachel Zoe show. Quick Tips for Getting Boho Waves
  • Start with dry hair.
  • Use a smoothing product to tame frizz and add shine. For this dry, sleek look, I'd go with a cream rather than a serum or oil that could weigh the hair down. Try the TRESemme Serum, Keratin Smooth Crème.
  • Use a flat brush and your blow dryer to smooth ends flat (not curled under).
  • Apply an extra-firm mousse, like the Tresemme Extra Firm Control Mousse before curling.
  • Use your curling iron at a horizontal angle.

The boho waves are perfect for an everyday look. I'm sure it's going to be a huge beauty trend for spring 2016. What do you think of the trend?
