KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, and welcome to Friday Finds! Today it's all about holiday hostess gifts. It about the time when you may have several seasonal parties and functions to attend, and you should never show up empty-handed. The best hostess gift should be something just for the hostess that he or she can use at a later time, either for entertaining or just for themselves. Just because you may have been assigned a side dish or drinks, you should still being along a special hostess gift.

A hostess gift doesn't need to cost a lot. They can range anywhere from $10-$25, and really should be on average $20. There are so many appropriate options in this price range - anything from a set of tea towels to a cookbook, or something gourmet, or even a little bath and body gift. If you need a hostess gift for a party or dinner this holiday season, you can't go wrong with one of the picks below.

This first one is my favorite, because it's a versatile multi-use item, and it's so chic. …

What the Top Fashion Bloggers are Wearing to NYFW

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is underway in New York, where designers like Ralph Lauren, Zimmerman, and Tadashi Shoji were among the first to show of their Spring/Summer 2016 collections. I know, we're all about fall fashion lately, and now we're talking about spring next year. That's how it goes in the business of fashion.

I recently saw an article in which a fellow blogger complained that coverage of fashion week has become less about the collections and more about what the bloggers and editors are wearing to the shows. But, here's the thing - they're wearing the designers' pieces to the respective shows and sporting the top trends of the season. I think it's fun to see how the top fashion bloggers put their own spin on designers pieces, don't you? I love to see their beauty looks too. Hair and makeup brands that take part in the runway beauty often put together looks for the bloggers as well. It's fun to get a peak at those too.

I adore that little black dress on Candice Lace and the leather and lace combo worn by Aimee Song. Which look is your favorite?
