25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. Celebrating Sweater Weather

I'm quite excited this week. I may have dodged another one of my daughter's viruses (perhaps I was just having allergies), I have a few things lined up in the evenings as usual, and it finally sweater weather. That is always something to get excited about, isn't it? A cozy sweater makes me want to drink hot chocolate and give someone a snuggly hug. If you can't get excited about the silly little things in life, you probably aren't enjoying the bigger moments either. Lesson of the day - you can complain about it being chilly, or you can celebrate sweater weather. Pictured: Monki Fine Knit Sweater in Mustard via ASOS

Long knit vests are a big sweater trend for fall 2015. Layer one over a tee with skinnies and boots, or wear it over a fall tunic dress.

I tend to gravitate towards black and grey when it comes to knits, but this season there are so many beautiful sweaters in harvest hues - burgundy, mustard yellow, cream - they're perfect to pair with the flared denim trend and some mod boots or fringed suede.
