Spring 2016 Prom Dress Trends
Prom 2016 is going to be a fun time for ladies who want to get all dressed up. In recent years, more casual dresses and shorter hemlines have been trending. However, prom dresses 2016 include more elegant trends; like mermaid silhouettes, intricate beading and embroidery, all-over lace, and even full ball gowns.
The biggest change in prom trends for 2016 is that the most popular dresses are longer. Knee-length and mini skirts were very popular in recent years, but this spring, it's going to be all about floor-length gowns. The hi-low trend is also on the way out, replaced by the full skirts, mermaid skirts, and layered chiffon.
The crop top trend is still very much in for prom 2016, the difference being that the two-piece prom dresses this season often come with full skirts. As you'll notice, the top prom trends marge together, with dresses like the two-piece, embellished top with a ball gown style skirt or a mermaid silhouette.
The sexiest prom dress trend for 2016 is a strapless sweetheart gown with lace applique and a semi-sheer corset-style top.
