KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend!! I've got another round up of beautiful home decor items for you guys today. It hasn't been intentional, it just so happens that the Friday Finds participants have all been home decor shops lately, and I'm loving it! With Spring coming up soon, it's the perfect time to spruce things up around the house and update your decor for the new season. Pictured: Geometric Pineapple Jewelry Holder/Home Accessory

First up is something we could all use more of in our homes - hygge by Snygge Home (pronounced snoo-gue). Snygge is a play on the danish word hygge that I'm sure you've heard of by now...or at least seen and thought what is hygge anyway? Hygge is "a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being." You can read more about it on Hygge Home.

At Snygge Home, owner Alice and her boyfriend Jack create hygge-inspired homeware, gifts, and event decorations using 3D printing. And like most E…

Checking In: Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills

I just might be the luckiest girl, because my fiance insists on spending time at a relaxing hotel at least once a month. For vacation right after Christmas, we went to Canyon Lake Resort in Texas, which I am excited to post about later this month. But first, the hotel we stayed at the previous month.

The Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills was a very relaxing stay. I really want to take a moment to encourage readers, granted you can afford it, to spend time with your special someone away from your house...away from the place you pay the bills, the place you cook, the place where you have to scrub your own toilet. While we plan to travel to lots of other fun places, there will also be stays in Oklahoma, where we live, as a means to stay connected without distractions and the little stresses of daily life. It's such a great way to maintain romance and have some time that is set aside specifically for relaxing and focusing on the other person.

Now, about the Marriott. I'm a fan of the hotel brand in general, wherever I'm at. They're always classy but slightly modern. This particular one is beautiful and modern, with a Starbucks cafe inside, super comfy beds, and everything you could possible need for an all-inclusive stay.

Did I mention they have a Starbucks??:) There is also a nice restaurant, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and spa. While there are plenty of things to do nearby, it's also the perfect place if you're simply wanting to escape and unwind without ever leaving the hotel.
