KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, guys!! I am super excited to share some new Friday Finds with you! It's a bit of a mix, as we all seem to be anticipating Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas all at once now. Though I'm trying my hardest to live in the moment with pumpkins and autumn decor. I know after Halloween, everyone will be all about Christmas, but we should slow down and enjoy the harvest decor up to Thanksgiving, don't you think? As always, there are a few printables in the mix for last-minute decor, as well as some products for my fellow wine lovers, and some more awesome discounts that were created just for you Friday Finds readers!! 🙂🍂 So you know the drill, grab a cup of coffee and sit down for a break, so you can relax and browse these amazing shops.

First let's kick things off with this week's featured candle. I just have to feature a candle each week. It's the perfect season to cozy up with a good book and flickering candle light. A scented candle is also th…

January 2016 Letter from the Editor

"It's a fresh start," those the words of my friend and former therapist Mary. Every time there is a fresh start coming up in my life - a move, the new year, (hell, even a Monday); I see it as a fresh start, and I hear her voice along with it.

Whether you're all about the New Year's resolutions, or you're from the school of thought that we should be our best year round, there is no denying that a fresh start gives us a little extra boost. It provides an extra boost of motivation and optimism...a resolve to reach our goals. And anyone who is a so-called expert on success will tell you that it is crucial to set measurable goals and to have a clear picture of your starting point and desired end point, with smaller and clearly-defined goals along the way. A simple way to set both short and long-term goals is with a pretty new planner. Pictured above: Vera Bradley 2016 Agenda

Each month, and with each new Editor's Letter, I find myself thinking of a word - a word that defines my overall feelings and thoughts for the coming month. This time I find myself thinking of "hope." With all of the other New Year's posts out there, I see a common theme, one of hope. We're all hoping to have a better year for 2016. We're hoping to be better and do better than we did last year. And while setting goals and getting realistic about working towards those goals is crucial, a good place to start is with hope. Because hope doesn't rely on where you've been or where you're at right now. It relies solely on faith that some things can be better, even if it's simply how you handle the things that may not change.
