Snapshots from the Week

Another weekend has come and gone, preceded by a very long week, but I hope you all enjoyed yours. Here's to taking on another week and another couple of assholes (excuse my French) should they rear their heads yet again, and here's to the loving and supportive people we can lean on and enjoy the little things with.

Speaking of loving and supportive people, my fiance showed up with beautiful flowers, as usual. This time in shades of red, pink, and white. I am really digging the pink.

We decided to check out a different coffee shop this weekend. He shares in my caffeine addiction so we constantly enable each other, and I am totally okay with that arrangement. We went to 918 Coffee (pictured above) in Tulsa and were very pleasantly surprised. It isn't in the prettiest neighborhood, but the inside is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is very cool. I was happy to have an almond-milk cappuccino. That barista sure knew how to make foam.

Then we popped into On A Whim Tulsa on Brookside. It is one of the cutest shops in town, which I plan to do a separate post on. They have so many cute home items as well as fashionable products; and all of my favorite brands like Kate Spade, Nest, Butter London, and Rebecca Minkoff. I may not be able to afford the $500.00 Alice + Olivia dress I was drooling over, but there are plenty of smaller more affordable items. It's a great place to buy a special gift for someone.

On A Whim has a lot of cute items for Valentine's Day. I think I would take one of everything.

Barnes and Noble is a must-do several times a week. This time I tried the spicy chipotle brownie in the cafe. Was it spicy? Very! Was it yummy? Definitely!

A quick pop into Reasor's, and I saw this adorable Valentine's Day centerpiece. I'm tempted to make a few of these for a tutorial for the blog. But then again, it's kind of like, use a hot glue gun, and glue conversation hearts to some foam cones...bam. There's your tutorial. Anyone crafty enough to make these doesn't really need step-by-step instructions, right? In any case, it's cute to look at and has me dreaming up festive Valentine's Day table settings.

Have a lovely week! :)

    1. He is.:) And yeah you should totally try it! I was really impressed. I would add that they don't have a ton of food or sweets but for coffee and conversation...a relaxing weekend morning, it's perfect.
