25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

My On-the-Go Beauty Essentials

A good on-the-go beauty routine is so important to me, whether it's for travel or simply for a quick day-to-evening look for date night. Working full time, taking care of my two girls, and making time to go out; I don't have a ton of time to devote to my skincare and makeup, but I still manage to pull it off.

The team at Glossier asked me to share some of my purse essentials. At Glossier, they believe in "skin first, makeup second, smile always," and I couldn't agree more. My purse essentials for my beauty routine consist of just that - things that help me maintain healthy and naturally beautiful skin, then my favorite makeup products to enhance my features, and always a smile. My fiance always says that I look the most beautiful when I'm smiling.:)

Keeping my face clean is a top priority when it comes to skincare. For quick makeup removal, I love these wipes. For smaller pores and smoother looking skin, I make a habit of using a deep cleansing mask several times a week. Even when traveling, I stick to that part of my regimen by using single-pack masks. My current favorite is the Freeman Charcoal and Black Sugar Mask.

Moisturizing is just as important as a good cleansing routine. I keep my lips soft with the EOS lip balm, and I always have some hand cream in my purse. The EOS purse pack lotion fits perfectly in my cross body bag. A mini Vaseline comes in handy too. I like to smooth it under my eyes for some extra plumping.

When it comes to makeup on the go, I would never go without my BB cream. It moisturizes, covers, and has SPF. Sometimes I'll use foundation over it and a primer underneath, but when I'm in a hurry, the BB cream paired with a good concealer and powder does the trick. I've been using the new Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless powder this year and have been really impressed with it.

If you follow my Instagram, you already know that my nails are always painted...sometimes with chips here and there. I always tell my fiance "This is the kind of week I'm having," and show him my chipped manicure. The kind of day or week I'm having is always reflected on my nails. Though a good manicure always makes me feel instantly more beautiful and feminine, so I make it a priority. I recently switched to Essie, and I am totally in love with it. It costs a little more than what I used to use, but it also lasts longer, so it's totally worth it. For quick touch-ups I try to find quick-dry polishes in similar shades. Two makeup products in particular help tremendously whenever I need to get ready in a hurry. A great cream eye shadow with some color and shimmer to it is quick and easy to apply with my fingertip, and it creates an instant night-time look.

For a really quick and natural daytime look, I love a bronzer blush palette. I use it for bronzing, blush, and eye shadow.

A pretty pink or red lipstick is a quick pick-me-up I can apply in the car. I top it off with a good lip gloss. Also pictured above is my travel size perfume. Perfume is always a part of my beauty routine, especially for travel or date night. I keep a handy perfume roller in my purse.
