3 DIY Exfoliating Facial Masks

Exfoliating is one of the most important steps when it comes to skincare. As we age, the skin doesn't naturally exfoliate as often, so it needs a little help. The immediate benefit to exfoliating is that it removes dead skin and encourages skin cell renewal, for younger looking skin. If you incorporate an exfoliating scrub into your skincare regimen once a week, the long term benefits include a reduction of dark spots, scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. Best of all, with regular at-home exfoliation, you don't need to spend a lot of money on expensive microdermabrasion treatments. With these easy-to-make DIY masks, you'll enjoy glowing, younger-looking skin with the added bonus of a fun and relaxing #selfcaresunday.

Snapshots from the Week

This weekend was more special than usual, as my fiance and I got to tour and book our wedding venue (pictured above) and officially set a date. Now it's time for Save the Dates and the gift registry and everything else that follows.

The Dresser Mansion in Tulsa was the perfect choice for a small but very beautiful and elegant wedding. I love all of the wood floors and molding. I got lots of pics and will be happy to put that into a separate post.

We celebrated afterwards with lunch at the restaurant at Gilcrease Museum. It's such a beautiful and relaxing place to eat and enjoy a glass of wine.

No weekend for us is complete without some coffee. My fiance and I love Starbucks and Barnes & Noble, but we also like to check out local coffee houses. There are quite a few nice ones in Tulsa. This weekend we went with Foolish Things Coffee Co downtown Tulsa. It was by far the best tasting cappuccino I've had so far on our little coffee adventures.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and that your week is off to a great start!
