3 DIY Exfoliating Facial Masks

Exfoliating is one of the most important steps when it comes to skincare. As we age, the skin doesn't naturally exfoliate as often, so it needs a little help. The immediate benefit to exfoliating is that it removes dead skin and encourages skin cell renewal, for younger looking skin. If you incorporate an exfoliating scrub into your skincare regimen once a week, the long term benefits include a reduction of dark spots, scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. Best of all, with regular at-home exfoliation, you don't need to spend a lot of money on expensive microdermabrasion treatments. Our First Valentine's Day Date

For Valentine's Day weekend, I went to the ballet with my wonderful fiance. We saw Romeo and Juliet and had a lovely dinner first, and ended the evening with some wine at the Courtyard Marriott downtown Tulsa. It was the perfect night to wear my new black dress and of course some heels.

I love this dress I got at Kohl's (for just $20 by the way). I tried to avoid getting another little black dress, but the flecks of pink and blue in this one were so pretty. I also got to wear my new necklace that I got for Valentine's Day. Ken draped it over a bouquet of red roses. I'd say it was a very successful first Valentine's Day with many, many more to come.:)

This weekend we plan to see a movie, have some yummy dinner at Abuelo's, and check out a cool coffee shop. And with the added benefit of 70 degree weather, we get to enjoy a walk in the park.:) Have a lovely weekend!
