KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend, guys!! I've got one beautiful small biz to share with you today, and then I'm doing things a bit differently for today's Friday Finds. I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with complimentary goodies this week, and I wanted to take this time to share my favorites with you. I'll be doing an unboxing video featuring the sample items, to post next week! But first, I did want to share one gorgeous shop with you guys. Check it all out below! Pictured above are some handwoven home goods by Melody Fulone. Her shop is full of unique and beautifully woven wall hangings, pillows, many other home accessories; and even a bit of fiber art jewelry. I really love the neutral colors and the modern designs.

Shop the 2018 Winter Collection. And keep an eye out for a DIY kit for a crochet wall hanging in a few weeks. Melody will also be releasing her spring collection in late March!

This next brand will go into both an unboxing as well as a B…

My Coffee Table Essentials

The coffee table (though I am currently needing a new one) is an essential piece for a living space. It's a place to kick your feet up, and mostly just another place to display pretty flowers and cute home accessories. Photo by Kapito Muller Interiors via Chairish.

My coffee table essentials consist of a few functional items, but mostly it's about the decor. I like to start with an over-sized decorative tray. This provides a way to anchor your accessories. Use the tray to group together a candle, a few magazines, and a little something extra; like a small picture frame or decorative figurines. If you have a very large coffee table and tray, you can go for something a bit more substantial, like a bowl filled with decorative spheres.

A small vase filled with a short bouquet of flowers is best so you don't detract from the view of the T.V. or guests you may be chatting with. Nothing too decorative or distracting; a simple glass vase is my favorite kind for the coffee table. And not to be too nit-picky, but, when it comes to flowers on the coffee table, I'd keep it simple - a small bouquet all in the same color and same kind of flower.

I do have two absolute must-haves for the coffee table - a nice candle and reading material. By reading material, I mean at least one or two beautiful coffee table books and a few fashion magazines. Whatever kind of reading material you include on your coffee table, even if just for aesthetics, it should reflect your interests and passions.

The candle choice is, I feel, the same as the decorative-accessory formula above. For example, if you have a very large coffee table to fill in, you could group a few matching candle holders. If however you're dealing with a smaller surface, go with a simple and chic scented votive.

I'd love to hear what your coffee table essentials are. Let me know in the comments below.
