KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend!! We are still busy over here with getting settled in. I know Ken and I will be utterly happy when we don't have to do anything extra to do...just a normal day-to-day routine plus our dates on the weekends. We will at least be on more of a schedule this coming week, as our kiddos start at their new school! And I've managed to get on a bit of a schedule with work, with just a few extra things on my to-do. I hope you all have a good weekend and enjoy some of my favorite links from the week. Grab a cup of coffee and sit back and relax. Image via Chevrons & Eclairs.

Editor's Picks: Festival Style for the Real World

Coachella has been in full swing, with stylish welcome parties by the pool and live music in the California dessert. This music and arts festival has become the unofficial start to summer fashion, displaying skin-baring looks with a most boho-chic vibe. Pictured: Free People Bella Notte Printed Dress

I recently shared What the Top Fashion Blogger Wore to Coachella 2016, and yes, admitted that it was hard to find enough looks that I loved enough to put into a feature article. Still, some of the looks are a bit much for those who don't spend their days on the beach. I mean, I live in Oklahoma; you are NEVER going to catch me wearing a cropped crochet bra top with cut-off jean shorts...like...ever. However, the breezy boho-chic style is still my favorites when it comes to summer style. Here are some of my top picks that would look great for festival season but can still blend seamlessly into the real world.

Off-the-shoulder tops and gladiator sandals, for example, are two of the biggest trends this season. Pair an off-shoulder blouse with shoulder-skimming boho earings, and pair a flowy summer dress or romper with some strappy gladiators. You can also go with some western ankle boots. And always, always add on a fringed bag...always.
