Easy DIY Halloween Party Favors

There are so many cute Halloween party favor ideas floating about the web, like the witch's broom goodie bags for example, though they do require some DIY experience. These tin-tie bakery bags are the perfect size for a Halloween goodie bag, and they require no crafting skills. I love howthe favor bags I made them with are cute enough for kids but still nice enough for the grown-ups as well. All you need are the bakery bags, ribbon, and 3D Halloween stickers from the craft store. You can use the smaller bag pictured above or a larger bakery bag with a window display. I like to fill the larger ones with treats to give out as holiday presents to neighbors and teachers.

Simply fill the bags with a Halloween treat (homemade or store-bought), close them up and tie them off with ribbon, then affix a sticker to each bag. These are food-grade bags, so they're perfect to fill with homemade fall treats like popcorn, kettle corn, or Halloween chocolates. Try my DIY gourmet popcorn

Snapshots from the Week

This week's snapshots are from three lovely places my fiance and I explored over the weekend. Utica Square is a place we've been too many times before and will continue to go back to for the Starbucks, shopping, and live music during summer. We also enjoyed the warmer weather with a walk around Woodward Park and the Tulsa Garden Center with our girls, and saw The Huntsman for date night.

We walked around Woodward to see what was blooming and to let the girls run around. As you can see, we fed some cute little squirrels.:)

Before the movie on Saturday night, we explored Main Street in downtown Broken Arrow. One of the many things I love about my fiance - he likes to discover new places, including shops and restaurants. Main Street Broken Arrow, part of the Rose District, is definitely a place we plan to go back to and further explore. It was full of cute little shops, restaurants, and the sidewalks were covered in charming planters and rows of rose bushes...the perfect place to spend some time on the weekend.

The date night movie, The Huntsman, was very good. Even better, it was at Warren. There is one is Broken Arrow and in Oklahoma City. You can also check out their website here > to see if there is one near you. If you haven't gone yet, I highly recommend it. There are several dining option inside, including a full menu during the movie (yes, alcoholic beverages included.) I've got lots of great pics from Warren, so like everything else in my Snapshots posts and Instagram feed, there will be a separate post feature on this place.

This weekend at Utica, we discovered a new favorite when it comes to restaurants. BGB by Brownie's Gourmet Burgers is truly a gourmet burger place. I'll write about it more when I feature it in a separate post. For now, I'll just say that they served fries cooked in truffle oil, and my burger had tequila-soaked jalapenos...yeah...YUM!

We tend to stop into Pottery Barn whenever we're window shopping. I love to see what they have out for the season, and their tables are always set so beautifully. It's a great place for inspiration for the home.

Also a necessity - seeing what's new in the Coach store window and grabbing a coffee at Starbucks. Followed up with some relaxing time at home snuggled up on the couch, that's my idea of the perfect Sunday. I hope you had a lovely weekend as well and have a great week!:)

    1. It was really good, Norma. Emily Blunt was so good in it, and of course you will like it because of Hemsworth ha.
