KCL 2018 Beauty Awards

Welcome to the latest beauty edit and the very first beauty awards here on the blog! I’ve tried so many wonderful beauty products this year and wanted to let you guys know which were my top must-have products of the year. I’ve picked from new and small businesses only, as I love to work with indie brands. And like most of the beauty brands I review; most of these are organic, natural, and cruelty-free.

These are the items that long after the required testing and promotion period, I find myself still using and preferring above any others. The're the products which despite a never ending stream of free PR samples, I would still spend my own money (and in some cases have) in order to get more of. And whether affordable or more costly, these are the beauty products that I truly think are worth the price. So if you’re thinking about adding more beauty or selfcare products into your 2019 routine, I highly recommend each of these brands.

Window Shopping: Urban Couture Tulsa

I stumbled upon the Urban Couture boutique when my fiance and I went to The Vineyard Shopping Center to try out a crepe cafe. I was lured in by the seemingly endless clothing racks and super shiny light fixtures...no, it doesn't take much to get my attention. I immediately went in to snap pics and drool over every item. My fiance, who doesn't know a whole lot about women's fashion (that's a good thing), kept pointing out items that he was certain I would like, and he was right about every single one of them.

Upon further research, it turns out that the boutique is aimed at mothers and daughters. With Mother's Day coming up, I wanted to feature one of the gorgeous boutiques I've recently discovered here in Tulsa; like On A Whim on Brookside, Versona, or On the Corner. But after reading the about page of Urban Couture, it's obvious that it's about time for a feature on this place.

"After discussing the dilemma of finding clothes for young girls and their moms at the same boutique Urban Couture was born."

The shop features clothing and, as you can see, loads of accessories and even some lovely bath and body items. And how cute are the dressing rooms?! Undoubtedly it's the perfect place to get a stylish Mother's Day gift.

    1. They really are! Mothers and daughters love to go shopping together but it shouldn't have to always be at a department store to find things for both age ranges. This boutique definitely fills that need.
