25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

Snapshots from the Week

I had a lot of pics to narrow down this week, partly because we had a lot of fun and partly because I'm a teensy bit behind. Never the less, I hope you're all having a wonderful week so far.:)

One of my favorite things from last week was when my fiance took me to the Food Truck Wednesday at Guthrie Green for lunch. I've heard a lot of buzz about Mr. Nice Guys, so I gave that one a try, and oh yum!! I got one of each of their tacos. YUM!

The latest wine we tried was Cartlidge & Browne Pinot Noir. It was sooo good. Their pinot has some spice to holiday spices...a sort of cinnamon or nutmeg, mixed with rich fruity flavors. It reminded me of a spicy sweet port wine, only not so sweet.

We stopped by the Tulsa Rose Garden to see the roses one more time this season, and who knew that there are sunflowers planted there as well? Very pretty.

I got a new essie color, which I love for summer. It's a dark hot pink called "mod square."

We took the kids to see Frozen at a neat little park downtown Tulsa. Guthrie Green hosts a free movie in the park every Thursday during summer and fall. Elsa and Anna made a special appearance for this one.:)

As luck would have it, just as the movie was ending, the nearby Driller's game ended with some beautiful fireworks.

The weekend was full of yummy food as usual. We went to Wingapalooza for the first time, and I could totally go for it again next year. Taste-testing wings from lots of local restaurants and drinking beer...yeah, it was pretty amazing. While our favorite didn't win, Zaxby's had our vote for the best.

My future stepdaughter had a birthday and wanted an Oreo ice cream cake, so an Oreo ice cream cake she got. I'll definitely share that recipe with you guys. Yum!!

After Wingapalooza, we stopped by the cutest little place across from the BOK Center. Pinkitzel Cupcakes & Candy Shop is pretty much heaven. They have chocolates, coffee, macarons, candy, and a beautiful eat-in area.

This gorgeous area is for private parties and events. I'm thinking I need to have my bridal shower there.

Tonight we're headed back to Utica for some live music and of course coffee. You guys have a great weekend!:)
