3 Cute and Comfy Holiday Looks

We all want to look our best for those holiday dinners, but comfort is also very important. It's a time to indulge in yummy food and fun cocktails! My go-to tends to be skinny jeans with some cute boots and a nice sweater. If you have a holiday dinner to attend with friends or perhaps a significant other, here are some cute ways, featuring Yoins, to dress up a little while still feeling comfortable and with plenty of breathing room for the yummy dinner!

It's so easy to create a pretty holiday look if you start with a fashion blouse for women. A nice blouse or knit top can go with anything from jeans or leggings to dressy pants or a skirt. So you can easily take the look from casual to dressy, especially if you add on some jewelry.

If you practically live in leggings, this long-sleeve asymmetrical hem top is perfect! It's nice and roomy, but has a nice detail with the side buttons. And you can dress it up a bit with a long pendant necklace.

Snapshots from the Week

The weekend is here! I'm very excited about several things, like a Kate Spade bridal event at Dillard's my fiance just told me about, as well as the okBride Tulsa Summer Bridal Show we're attending on Sunday. We're getting a head start on Fourth of July fireworks Sunday evening, and tomorrow we're sneaking off for a hotel night so we can spend some time just focusing on each other.:)

This past week was pretty darn good already though. Those flowers above are the latest bouquet my fiance bought for me. It's been a bit hard for him to surprise me since we moved in together, because we're always together...we like each other :). But after a run, he managed to swing by the store and surprise me with them when he got home. Just-because flowers are the best kind.:)

Some of these shots are from last week; somehow I got a bit behind on the weekly round-up post. We saw Me Before You at Warren Theater last week, and it was very sweet. I'll have to leave it at that to avoid giving any spoilers.

Also last week, we went to Utica Square for their Summer's Fifth Night. Our third date was at the summer concert series last year, so going back to Utica is always romantic. We started with dinner at BGB Brownie's Gourmet Burgers. Though we did pack up and head home a bit early. The hot Tulsa summer is in full effect lately, so we'll head back later in the season when it's cooled off a bit.

Now I believe I'm caught up to this actual week. My nail color for the week was essie in "Mod Square." I'm not one for pastel nails personally, so whenever I get tired of red, I go for a hot pink like this one.

Speaking of pink, I had to try the trending #pinkdrink at Starbucks. It's basically an acai refresher with coconut milk. Very yummy!

The wine we tried this week was a very nice surprise. Apothic Red Winemaker's Blend is made with dark berries and hints of vanilla and cocoa. We had previously tried a red wine with cocoa, and I thought the cocoa flavor was too overpowering against the fruit flavors. This Apothic wine was perfectly balanced in my opinion. And it was quite strong...only took a glass and a half to get me feeling quite nice. Even better, it was smooth...not very dry at all, but bold in flavor and though it wasn't at all a sweet wine, the fruity flavors came through just a touch. I'm finding that's my favorite kind of red. Definitely going to get this one again and highly recommend it if you like strong red wine!

We tried a new spot for lunch yesterday - the Claret Cafe in Tulsa. It was such a lovely surprise. The inside was even more beautiful than I'd expected, the food was so yummy (and affordable), and the service was excellent. Definitely going back there!

After lunch, our girls saw Finding Dory in 3D while we saw Now You See Me 2. Very good movie. I think this weekend we're going to see Free State of Jones. You guys have a great weekend!!:)
